The Hotel at the Lafayette occupies a 1904 French Renaissance building designed by Louise Blanchard Bethune, the first professional female architect in the United States. Original art-deco details such as intricate stonework, vintage tile floors, and high ceilings remain throughout the lobby and hallways. The hotel preserves its historic character while guest rooms are individually furnished with a mix of period and contemporary pieces.

Each room is individually furnished; some include a separate toilet room, a walk-in shower, and a bathtub. Select junior suites offer an electric fireplace and two flat-screen televisions. All rooms are air-conditioned and come with premium bedding, a coffee machine, and an iron with ironing board.
